Accessibility & Language Access

Oveus Career Accelerator is built so that every student at Oveus Career Accelerator can use it, on any device, with or without assistive technology.

Our standard

We target the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA across every page, including the Interactive Zone games, the Career Demand Explorer, and the Future Lifestyle Simulator.

What we've built in

  • A skip link and a single main landmark on every page for keyboard and screen-reader users.
  • Visible focus outlines on every link, button, and form control.
  • Text and interface colors checked for 4.5:1 contrast (3:1 for large text).
  • Tap targets sized for touch, and layouts that reflow down to 320px wide.
  • Descriptive labels on icon-only buttons and meaningful alternative text on career imagery.
  • No information conveyed by color alone — status is always labeled in text too.

Language access

Use the language button in the header to read the site in Spanish, Simplified Chinese, Tagalog, Vietnamese, Arabic, French, Korean, Russian, Haitian Creole, or Portuguese. Common interface text uses reviewed human translations; longer content is machine translated and cached, so it is accurate enough for exploration but should not be treated as an official document. Salary figures, dates, and career data stay in their original US format.

Privacy note

Accessibility and language settings are stored only on your own device as part of your anonymous career session. We never collect your name, email, phone number, address, or birthday.

Report a barrier

If something on this site is hard to use, tell a counselor or program administrator staff so it can be fixed. Please describe the page and what happened — you never need to share personal information to report a problem.
